Ariana Grande To Host Benefit Concert

On Monday, May 22nd, we woke up from a nap an hour before heading to our English 101 class, to a Twitter feed full of upsetting tweets about the tragedy that occurred at an Ariana Grande concert at a venue in Manchester where 22 concert-goers lost their lives and 59 others were left injured, with many lost children finding sanctuary in a local hotel unable to find their parents. Thousands of people, aside from Ariana’s famous friends reached out to the “Side to Side” pop singer with heart-felt tweets and Instagram posts with messages for her and the victims of the tragedy.

Most recently Momma Grande, Joan tweeted her thoughts on Memorial Day which we found to be quite touching, reflecting on the tragedy and thanking the men and women who have fought and fight for our freedom, here at home in the US. Sources close to G L A M B O Y A N T have stated Joan has been very active and even helped escort a number of fans out of the venue to safety on May 22nd.

One person in particular, (known for having nothing nice to say ever) #NegativeNancy herself, *rhymes with Fears Organ*. When the Swish, Swish singer, Katy Perry tweeted her sentiments about a few members of the royal family going to visit with hospitalized victims, he went on to say that our girl, Ari should have done the same. (We do not like you very much Fears!)

That being said though, we hope he eats his bitter-tasting words when we announce that Ariana Grande has tweeted that she is to host a benefit concert on Saturday June 7th, that will benefit the victims and their loved one that include the lineup: Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Usher Raymond, Coldplay, One Direction's Niall Horan, Pharrell Williams, Take That, and Ariana Grande, herself which was tweeted by BBC Breaking News at 8:00AM. The hashtag #OneLoveManchester is trending on Twitter as we speak.

Unfortunately, we cannot make it as we live in teeny tiny little ol’ Modesto, California but we admire and support the event with so much love and respect for Ariana, the Grande Family, and the lineup of talent to support Ariana during these troubling times.
