We must admit, we have never really been one to follow the latest trend.. (Our boyfriend calls us a hipster every time we say that) In fact, up until recently we hadn't watched certain hit television series, such as Bates Motel (we are so sad it ended...but looking forward to Freddie Highmore's big return as Dr. Shaun Murphy in David Shore's The Good Doctor during the autumn season) But after finishing Bates and Orange is the New Black, we started another series just two days ago, an original Netflix series, starring (one of our favorites) Kevin Spacey (American Beauty) and Kate Mara (American Horror Story [S1]. We do not know what it is about Spacey's character, Francis "Frank" Underwood, but we absolutely love the character. How blunt he is, and how he is in no way a passive person along with his wit and his occasional asides towards the audience; we have to say, after only bingewatching 5 episodes with our boyfriend, there is something about his character that really makes the show.
There are now five seasons with the one just released yesterday (May 30th) and we give it five stars and cannot wait to watch more episodes tomorrow after our boyfriend gets home from work, and we get home from our English 101 class.
