It has been a long time coming - three years to be exact - since we've heard new content from the 'Can't Remember to Forget You" singer, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll better known as, Shakira — well, not unless you count her song, "Try Everything" (video hyperlinked), as Gizelle on Walt Disney's 2016 Motion Picture,Zootopia (we adore Officer Clawhauser!) — and we are so excited about Shakira's latest album, El Dorado (2017) just released just last week that she tweeted about last Friday at 6:41PM. We just got to listen to the album today, and this is so us: (refer to gif)
The album includes a tracklist of 13 songs equal to 43:57; and it is tri-lingual. YES! Trilingual as in it includes both English and Spanish tracks, along with the 8th track where Shak sings in English with French rapper, Black M! Your girl also harmonizes a little french behind the rapper as well. Nicky Jam, Carlos Vives, Prince Royce, and the Canadian reggae band, MAGIC! also make guest appearances while the Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy reggetonero, Maluma makes two which one — Chantaje — was met with a single release and music video that made us extremely hot! (see below)
The latest track that Shakira teased us with on April 7th of this year with was, "Me Enamoré" (English: I Fell In Love) an infectious song written by the Colombiana and Spanish-Japanese musician, Antonio Rayo, known to most as Rayito. The two were also masterminds behind the productions along with Rude Boyz, and Kevin ADG credited as co-producers. It is probably our favorite track on the album that made us have to tell our hips, 'don't lie.' The music video was release just two weeks ago with a mystery m an behind the camera (Spoiler: It's Shak's bae, soccor player, Gerard Piqué) and we feel it does the single justice. (see below).
