Ms Krazie: A Mom, Before Anything

It was just seven years ago that we were introduced to Chicana Rap recording artist, Ms Krazie. Although the video titled Angel Baby & Lil Sniper on Danny Noriega's (also known as Rupaul's Drag Race's, Adore Delano) YouTube channel was responsible for exposing us to the "Love You Til Death" rapper was posted on July 15, 2010, we can still recall the first time we seen the video and it was in October of that same year. The video was a skit between the "Take Me There" singer, and John Padilla as they parodied stereotypical cholos/cholas in California. A clip of Ms Krazie's song "A Gangster's Wife" featuring fellow rapper, Chino Grande could be heard playing at the beginning of the video. Needless to say, we were laughing our asses off, but we were too curious and attempted to google the lyrics "daddy tell me im the only girl the only one that i need in this gangster world is you..." and boom! Ms Krazie's MySpace profile slapped us right across the cara (face).

A little about Ms Krazie: Born America Ochoa on January 31st in the late 80s and raised in Michoacan, Mexico and later migrated to the US. "Don't like the light eyes and bleached hair fool you" she once said. Discovered by and signed to Urban Kings Inc. she set on a journey as a recording artist and made a name for herself. With UKMG (often shouted out as Reyes Urbanos on her tracks) she had released five full-length albums.

For the last five years we have been collecting all of Ms Krazie's albums with the last one being 2012's Forgive Not Forget. The last time we saw content on Loca was a music video for the song "Love You Till Death" featuring Kozme and a DVD that included live concert footage called One Krazie Night. (Yes, we own this as well). It would be three years when we were all hyped up to hear about the latest project Loca had up her sleave. Another album called Sad Girls CLub. For a while we were waiting....and waiting....and waiting....and waiting. And just today we happened to stumble upon her YouTube channel and we binge watched all six of her video vlogs, until we got to the final one uploaded on December 2, 2016 (For some reason this date sounds familiar to us).

We felt so bad for her after watching the final video. We do not have children, but we have seen the struggle first hand with out Mom. Loca went on to express her deepest apologies for not being focused on the album she had said she was going to release three years ago. She explained what was going on with her son, Vladamir and how she now has a total five children (Same as our Mom, and the same genders). We want her to know that it is okay that she takes however long it takes to put out a quality album in the future. We are so proud of the woman she has become, and the maturity she has possessed. Es una a mujer echa y derecha, and we have mad, mad respect and admiration for her as a mother and as an artist. Even if it's another five or ten years, know that we here at G L A M B O Y A N T will accept you with open arms as we did then and today. We also hope that you will continue to do more YouTube content.
